Together with the instrument teams, the GSSC is developing a complete GLAST standard data analysis environment (SAE) which will be publicly available from this website. It will enable GLAST team members and guest investigators to extract scientific information from GLAST data without having to embark on a time consuming software development effort.

The system map gives a schematic overview of the SAE. The SAE is being tested extensively by GLAST mission scientists and reviewed by the GLAST Users' Group. The tools necessary for analyzing GBM data will be released at launch, while the rest of the SAE will be released well in time for preparing proposals for the second GI cycle.

Presently, it is foreseen to support both Linux and Windows operating systems.
